Market Research & Competitor Analysis | Egypt & Gulf
SNS Team · Reviewed 4 November 2026
Market research should answer a decision, not just describe an industry. SNS helps businesses assess customer needs, competitor offers and market-entry questions in Egypt and the Gulf, using an agreed scope and clearly identified evidence.
Start with the business question
Which customer segment should you serve? What alternatives does that customer compare? What would justify the intended price? Is a weak result caused by the offer or by reaching the wrong buyers? We define the decision, product and market before gathering information.
What can a study cover?
- Customer segments, needs and purchase objections.
- Competitor offers, visible pricing, channels and trust signals.
- Available first-party sales and enquiry records.
- Desk research, with interviews or surveys where explicitly included.
- Opportunities, risks and tests for unresolved assumptions.
Evidence and estimates stay separate
A price shown on a competitor website is evidence of the displayed offer at the review date, not proof of sales volume. Active Meta ads do not establish an advertiser's budget. Where market sizing is required, estimates need dated sources, assumptions and limitations rather than unsupported precision.
Example: preparing a fashion-brand launch
A focused study might review the segment, size range, price alternatives, delivery promises and exchange concerns, then identify questions to test with suitable customers. A competitor list alone cannot justify a sales forecast. This example explains the approach; it is not a published client outcome.
Decision-ready deliverables
An agreed engagement can produce an executive decision summary, dated source register, structured comparison, findings with limitations and prioritised next actions. If evidence is insufficient, we identify the additional test required rather than manufacture certainty.
Questions before commissioning research
Is this a financial feasibility study?
No. Market research examines customers, demand and competition. Financial modelling introduces costs, funding, cash flow and scenarios and needs a separately agreed scope.
Can the study cover Saudi Arabia or the UAE?
We agree the country, customer segment and evidence-collection method first. Local fieldwork and paid third-party datasets are included only when specified in the quotation.
How are fees calculated?
The number of markets and products, research depth and collection method shape fees and timing. External costs are itemised. Quotes can use the agreed EGP, USD, SAR or AED currency.
Turn findings into action
Use a Go-to-Market plan to translate research into a launch sequence. For an established business with unclear commercial performance, explore the Growth Diagnostic. Share the decision, product and target market when requesting scope.
