PHP & ASP.NET websites: static sites and dynamic CMS dashboards

SNS Team · Reviewed 2026-11-05

SNS designs and develops company websites, service sites and landing pages, from static sites to dynamic websites with content administration dashboards. We select HTML/CSS/JavaScript, PHP or ASP.NET Core around functionality, hosting and integrations, rather than a technology name alone.

Static or dynamic?

Approach What does it suit? How is content updated?
Static website Company information or a landing page with infrequent content changes Through files or an agreed publishing workflow; no administration dashboard by default
Dynamic website with a CMS Regularly updated services, articles and sections Through a dashboard with permissions for agreed fields and sections
Custom web application User accounts, booking workflows or specialised operations and integrations Through interfaces and administration tools specified in the project scope

Static and dynamic describe content delivery and management, not programming languages. A static site can include animation and a form connected to a separate service without having a complete CMS. A dynamic site can use caching and fast pages; performance depends on implementation.

PHP and ASP.NET Core

PHP runs on the server and can support an existing CMS or purpose-built functionality. We choose a supported release, appropriate extensions and clear update responsibilities. Not every CMS needs a database: some manage content in files.

ASP.NET Core is a .NET framework, commonly used with C# for websites, applications and integrations. We assess hosting compatibility, existing systems and updates. Hosting suitable for PHP does not automatically support an ASP.NET Core application; the environment is agreed before contracting.

See the official PHP introduction and Microsoft's ASP.NET Core documentation for technical background.

A dashboard like the SNS content-management experience

For a dynamic site, the scope can include administration of text, images, links, services and articles, with page SEO titles, descriptions and sharing images. We specify editable sections, image upload and user permissions rather than vaguely promising that every design detail can be changed.

SNS illustrates managing website content through a dashboard. It does not mean every project uses the same system or requires a CMS written from scratch. An existing CMS or custom dashboard is selected around requirements. Structural redesign or new functionality after handover needs a separate scope.

Deliverables we agree

Maintenance and cost

Pages, languages, functionality, integrations and dashboard scope determine cost. Published prices are starting prices; the final quotation uses the agreed currency. Hosting, domains, licences, third-party services and continuing maintenance are itemised separately. There is no promise of absolute security or guaranteed search rankings.

Frequently asked questions

Is a static website always cheaper?

A simple site usually has a smaller scope, but custom design, extensive content or integrations can change the cost. We compare requirements and longer-term update costs, not just the launch invoice.

Can I update images and articles myself?

Yes, when those sections are included in the agreed dashboard. We define the fields and permissions and explain their use, including image optimisation and account protection.

Is PHP better than ASP.NET for SEO?

The technology name alone does not determine success. Crawlable pages, clear content, correct links, performance, mobile usability and measurement matter more than the label.
